Professor David Obermiller is the type of professor who really shows you what it means to have passion for different subjects, incredible dedication to his students, and an amazing heart that cares for the well-being of everyone who comes across his path. His tough, constructive grading over four years has made me a better writer and helped me understand how to make good arguments based on the knowledge that I have.
I appreciate everything he has done for me over the years, especially helping me to be confident in my intellectual ability. David has taught me to set high goals for myself, in academics and life, and to never back down from any challenge. His passion for teaching and providing his students with the “counter-narratives” to traditional, historical arguments has helped me to critically think about everything and has helped me discover a path for my future endeavors.
