“We give to Gustavus because our time there was incredibly meaningful for both of us. We built friendships that are like no others in our lives. It was there that we took the first step in our journey, and Gustavus is the very solid foundation underlying all aspects of our lives and careers. Our four years were punctuated by the tornado in 1998. We were both juniors that year and got to experience first-hand the connection that Gusties have to both campus and each other. The crowds that surrounded us upon our return made it so much easier to deal with the chaos. We give because we hope that future generations will be able to experience Gustavus the way we did, the way we continue to experience Gustavus.”
